…the Hoosier Line is a transportation link fondly remembered by the residents of Indiana. Does the cultural history of this railroad shine in Microsoft Train Simulator?
I am brand new and no nothing about railroad simulators. I was drawn to your site my my interest in the Monon railroad. I have many HO model trains, have my own layout and belong to a club with a large layout. I also collect and operate Railroad motor cars, some call them speeders, which we run on real railroads across the country. Simulators might be a new thing to try. So many questions, do I need to buy a program, can I buy one on Ebay, is there a annual fee to use it, do I need to buy or rent routes on a DVD, one use or can I trade with others. Can I drive the train or just watch it go by? I need a simulators for idiots book, Amazon does not have one. Can you point me in the right direction, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Stan, You will need to download the Open Rails program for this to work. It is a free program. It does give you to the ability to either operate the train yourself or to let the program run it. There isn’t a single guide on the market for train sims; you have to research each based on what you are looking for out of the experience.
How can I register please?
KJ
This route is available from Trainsim.com.
